Our Purpose

Our Story

A legacy of strength. A future of growth.

The Leavitt Industrial Group name represents a legacy of hard-earned success, trust, and resilience in the material handling industry. It is a name that reflects resourcefulness, determination, and a relentless commitment to lifting others. Our founder, Tom Leavitt, envisioned a company built on integrity, partnership, and community—a vision that continues to guide everything we do.

With a solid foundation, we’ve expanded across North America, building a network that supports essential industries like construction, forestry, mining, and agriculture.

What sets us apart is our ability to operate as one cohesive group, combining deep local expertise with the strength, systems, and support of our broader organization. Guided by our corporate team, each division benefits from financial stability, reduced risk, and the ability to leverage synergies across our North American network.

Lifting Together

Building up. Giving back.

At Leavitt Industrial Group each team member carries a deep sense of responsibility in how we do business and how we think about everyone involved. We show up by giving back.

Through our LIFT TOGETHER Community Initiative, and in alignment with our company values, we provide charitable funding to purpose-driven organizations that tackle critical issues to impact lives in our communities.

Houston Lifts Up Lives:
Forklifts, toys & teamwork

Lonestar Forklift Houston’s Lift Up Lives Blood & Toy Drive, led by Shane Persad and a powerhouse team, brought together 90 community members, donating 276 toys and 32 units of blood—impacting 500 neighbors and patients across Houston. Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and partner for making the first community event so impactful.

Teamwork that sleighs:
Christmas hamper success

Who says holiday miracles don’t happen at work? Our Leavitt Machinery, Fawcett location, led by Alyssa Anderson and crew, rallied 51 donors to raise $6,380—making Christmas Donation Hamper real for 14 people. We’re proud to lift together, every season!

Shining a light on community impact

Leavitt Machinery’s Stratford Ontario team made a glowing difference at this winter’s “Lights on Stratford” festival! When organizers needed equipment for their dazzling displays, our team stepped in—donating a 19ft Manitou Telehandler and ensuring the show went on for 75,000 visitors. Our reliability earned Leavitt a proud spot on the sponsor list, and the town couldn’t have been more grateful. Big thanks to Janice Robinson and everyone who made it happen!

Local impact in action:
Hansler Lethbridge helps deliver 6,000 meals

Hansler Industries’ Lethbridge Branch made a meaningful impact in the fight against food insecurity. With a $2,000 donation to the Lethbridge Food Bank, the team helped provide over 6,000 meals to families during a critical time.

The in-person presentation not only demonstrated our commitment but also gave our team a firsthand look at the important work the Food Bank does every day. It’s a proud reminder that even a single act of giving can ripple through the entire community.

Small acts, big impact:
Cambridge branch brings joy to 400 local families

This holiday season, the Leavitt Cambridge team came together to make a difference. What started as a goal to fill one donation box turned into two overflowing bins of food and a $200 Lift Together donation.

Thanks to this effort, 400 families in our community received food hampers filled with holiday meals. While engagement varied, the generosity of our team shone through—and we’re excited to build on that momentum next year!

Warming hearts in Edmonton:
Hansler team delivers coats and compassion

The Hansler Edmonton team warmed the hearts of their community this winter with the “Coats for Kids & Families” initiative.

Over five months, they collected more than 100 coats—enough to fill three truckloads!—thanks to generous contributions from staff, neighbors, and partners like Leavitt Edmonton.

United Way was thrilled with the donations, and the team felt proud to give back. Best of all? It cost nothing but kindness.
